Smart Expense Tracking with OCR

Abstract

This thesis aims to design and develop a smart mobile application that scans expense tickets us- ing Optical Character Recognition (OCR) enhanced by Gemini AI, converting them into struc- tured digital data. The app is developed using Kotlin and integrated with Firebase for backend

services. The key feature of the project is the use of AI-powered OCR to minimize manual input and improve user experience in daily expense tracking.
