ملخص ندرس في هذا البحث دلالات التشكيل الدرامي لمسرحية "الخندق وأحجية سمكة أفريل" لمحمد الكامل بن زيد من خلال الوقوف على دلالة العنوان أولا: "الخندق وأحجية سمكة أفريل": يحمل دلالات رمزية عميقة تعكس جوهر العمل الدرامي. -" الخندق " يرمز إلى الحرب والمعاناة التي تفرضها الظروف القاسية. -" أحجية سمكة أفريل" تشير إلى التحديات الفكرية أو الروحية التي تواجه الشخصيات في سعيها لفهم الواقع أو إيجاد أمل وسط الخراب. هذا الجمع يبين اليأس والتفاؤل يعكس النضال الإنساني المركزي في المسرحية، ويبرز قيم الصمود والتجدد في مواجهة التحديات الكبرى. ثانيا: من حيث دلالات العناصر نجد: ــــ من حيث الشكل: تعتمد المسرحية على تصميم مسرحي رمزي وأداء عاطفي لتجسيد" الخندق" كرمز للحرب، و" أحجية سمكة أفريل" كرمز للصراع والأمل، وتتضمن أيضا شخصيات متنوعة تتطلب أداء عاطفيا قويا لنقل معاناة الحرب والأمل، وصراع البقاء. مع تنوع الحوار لربط المشاهد عبر تعبيرات رمزية . ــــ من حيث المضمون: تنقل الأحداث رسالة عن الصمود والقيم الإنسانية عبر مشاهد متشابكة تعكس العنوان بدقة، مقدمة قصة ملهمة عن الأمل وسط الدمار، فالموضوع ينتقد الحرب والطمع، داعيا إلى الأمل والصمود. الزمان غير محدد، يعكس صراعات إنسانية خالدة، والمكان يجمع بين اليابسة المدمرة والبحر كرمز للصراع والحياة.
