Abstract

This paper highlights key domains of the value system in meeting the requirements of continuous and comprehensive development, focusing on the interrelation between values and their impact. It examines the role of different values and their levels in supporting sustainability, emphasizing the need to understand the value system, its connection to the pillars of sustainable development, and the components that enable its realization, with brief reference to the Islamic perspective. The study concludes that sustainable development requires adherence to principles and values within a systemic framework that harmonizes environmental balance, social justice, and sustainable economic growth. Development is centered on the human being, strengthening institutions and promoting good governance to transmit a “message of life” to future generations serving as a value-based foundation for continuing the civilizational process and the rational use of resources. The focus is on noble human aspects such as justice, equality, efficiency, growth, participation, and social solidarity, alongside advancing human systems, strengthening interpersonal, collective, and institutional relations, and fostering aspirations to maximize benefits and safeguard the value system
