Abstract

Our study aims to show the importance of the experience of the United Arab Emirates in the strategy of economic diversification, as it is the oil country that is least affected by fluctuations in oil prices. This is through identifying the economic diversification strategy by defining it ; and determining its importance, characteristics, determinants, and measurement indicators. This is for the theoretical side. As for the practical side, we have discussed the foundations of the UAE economy, as well as analyzing and measuring economic diversification in the UAE during the period from 2000_2020 through the H.H. Hirfendel Hirschmann index. Learn about the success factors of the UAE in economic diversification. Our study concluded the need for economic diversification in sources of income by exploiting its oil revenues in developing and strengthening infrastructure, exploiting the UAE's potential in industry and tourism, as well as diversifying its non-oil exports
