This surface modification strategy aims to enhance structural stability, prevent agglomeration, and evaluate their exceptional antioxidant efficiency. The synthesized samples were comprehensively characterized using advanced analytical techniques; X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirmed the crystalline phase and nanometric crystallite size, while Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) verified the presence of functional groups and the interfacial bonding established between the metal surface and the organic matrix. Additionally, Ultraviolet-Visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) revealed the optical properties and energy bandgap of the hybrid composites. Furthermore, the biological activity of the developed nanosystems in scavenging free radicals was evaluated using the 2,2-diphenyl- 1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay. The experimental results demonstrated a promising synergistic effect between the MgO core and the organic functional groups, leading to a significant increase in the inhibition percentage and a notable reduction in the half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) value compared to unmodified nanoparticles. These findings provide a comprehensive insight into the close relationship between nanostructure and antioxidant bioactivity for potential biomedical and environmental applications.
