Abstract

This paper aims to highlight the support and encouragement of women entrepreneurs by the Algerian authorities. This is due to their participation in various economic activities at various levels, which has contributed to economic and social development. Accordingly, Algeria has established specialized bodies to support and promote women's entrepreneurship. Among these bodies is the National Agency for Microcredit Management (ANGEM), which supports, guides, and assists beneficiaries in implementing their projects, including financing them by establishing mechanisms and regulations. Our study concluded with several findings, the most important of which is that female entrepreneurs, in particular, are more likely to turn to microcredit due to its low risk. This is what the agency's statistics, up to June 30, 2025, reveal regarding the extent of its contribution and support to the integration of women, particularly in rural areas. The agency's support has led to the creation of jobs, thus contributing to reducing unemployment and poverty rates in urban and rural areas, while encouraging self-employment and developing the spirit of female entrepreneurship.
