| dc.description.abstract | Fault diagnosis and monitoring of oil-immersed power transformers are among the most important factors for ensuring their reliable and continuous operation. One of the most widely used techniques is Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA), which analyzes gases dissolved in transformer oil to detect incipient faults. However, conventional DGA methods often suffer from overlapping fault zones and reduced diagnostic accuracy in certain cases. This research proposes an advanced framework based on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and optimization algorithms to improve fault diagnosis accuracy and overcome the limitations of traditional techniques. The proposed approach evaluates dissolved gas ratios and combines them with decision tree–based algorithms to enhance performance and classification efficiency. Several conventional gas ratio analysis techniques were employed, including: CIGRE Ratio Method, ETRA Ratio Method, Doernenburg Ratio Method, Hyosung Cooperation Ratio Method, Tree Ratio Technique, IEC Ratio Method To select the most relevant features, the Incremental Wrapper Subset Evaluation technique was applied. In addition, Sequential Forward Selection was integrated to progressively evaluate feature subsets in order to improve classification performance and reduce model complexity. Ensemble learning techniques such as Bagging and Boosting were also utilized to enhance prediction accuracy and robustness. Furthermore, optimization algorithms were employed to identify the most suitable fault classification model based on conventional ratio data. Each algorithm was evaluated independently and compared using several performance metrics, including Accuracy, Recall, Precision, Specificity, and the Confusion Matrix, which contributed to improving prediction capability and identifying faults more effectively. The optimization algorithms investigated in this study include: AdaBoost, Gradient Boosting, Random Forest The results demonstrated that integrating Artificial Intelligence techniques with traditional dissolved gas analysis methods significantly improves fault diagnosis accuracy and provides a practical and effective framework for predictive maintenance and fault monitoring in electrical power transforme "يُعدّ تشخيص الأعطال ومراقبة محولات الطاقة المغمورة بالزيت من أهم العوامل لضمان تشغيلها الموثوق والمستمر. | |
