This study aimed to prepare a hybrid compound combining hydrotalcite, titanium dioxide(LDH TIO2) and explore its effectiveness in removing organic colorants from polluted water. The compound was prepared using the co-procipition method and then thermally treated, with characterization using several analytical techniques to study its structure and surface properties. The results showed that the compound has a high capacity for adsorption of pollutants and catalyzes their photocatalytic decomposition, thanks to the complementarity between hydrotalcite efficiency and reducing charge recombination, which enhanced the removal of colorants and their conversion into less harmful compounds. The results indicate the potential use f this compound as a promising and environmentally friendly option for treating polluted water.
