Although solidarity tourism makes only a marginal contribution to GDP, it is increasingly asserting itself as an alternative strategy for stimulating local development. Indeed, we are witnessing an increase in the number of players involved in the promotion and development of fair tourism, both globally and locally, particularly in Kabylia. Using a few examples from different localities in Kabylia, the aim of this paper is to use an interview guide to show the roles that local players, and more specifically associations, can play in the development of solidarity tourism, and to make the latter a lever for local development.
