Abstract

Arboriculture in the El Oued region remains very low, however the means that have been used are very important. The objective of this inventory is to highlight the scientific and technical potential of fruit tree producers in the El Oued region and to cover the shortage by highlighting the technical problems that hinder the development of the fruit tree sector in general and the olive sector in particular. Through this inventory, we found that the average age of investor managers is 45.67% and that 44.8% of farmers have participated in internships and training. While 90% of farmers have benefited from agricultural subsidies, the use of manual labor for orchard management negatively affects farmers' income. A lack of experience in olive growing was noted among farmers.
