Abstract

This study analyzes the digital transformation environment in Algeria's oil and gas industry for the national company Sonatrach. It focuses on the role of information technology investment in achieving and raising productivity as it contributes to economic integration by improving the connection to global communication networks. It is important to encourage foreign investment in the information and communications technology sector because it allows giant and leading companies to bear the costs of investment. In contrast, national investments are directed well towards the information and communications technology sector by enacting laws that encourage start-ups in this sector.
