Abstract

This study aims to determine the importance of establishing medical cities in Algeria to promote medical tourism, by presenting some leading experiences and models in some Arab countries ranked in the field of medical tourism. The conclusion reached is that there is significant competition among Arab countries to advance medical tourism and develop their healthcare systems, especially the United Arab Emirates, which ranked first according to the MTI index for the period (2020-2021)..As for Algeria,, as it has been concluded that there is great importance and positive effects expected from this, by raising the Algerian health and medical tourism sector, or tourism in general, and stimulating various other economic sectors, and in a way that may ultimately enable the achievement of diversification, economic development and the comprehensive advancement of the countr
