International Funding Sources And Their Impact On Supporting Economic Growth In Algeria

Abstract

Through this research paper, we aim to study the impact of international financing sources on economic growth in Algeria over the period from 1990 to 2023. Based on theoretical frameworks and previous studies, international financing sources, represented by foreign direct investment and migrant remittances, can have a positive or negative impact on economic growth, depending on the nature of a country's economic structure. The study indicates a short-term positive relationship between foreign direct investment and migrant remittances on economic growth, while in the long term the relationship between the variables was negative.
