Abstract
Sustainable development is a type of development that satisfies the needs of the present without
compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. The concept of sustainable
development presents new ways for businesses to approach industrial risks, worker health, and working
conditions. Algeria entered the post-oil era in June 2014 with the drop in oil prices, a concerning situation as the
country faces a crisis. To address the situation, Algeria relies heavily on renewable energy sources, which
generate significant hopes.
The central objective of our study is to highlight the significance of promoting a culture of sustainable
development for the emergence of the Algerian economy on the one hand and indicate that renewable energies
offer a lifeline to cope with the decline in hydrocarbon production in Algeria on the other.
