E-governance As A Strategic Option For Establishing Economic Diversification In Algeria

Abstract

This study aims to measure the impact of e-governance on economic diversification in Algeria (2005–2023). The research adopts a descriptive-analytical approach to present the theoretical aspects, along with econometric methods to estimate the effect of the independent variables. The results revealed that the eparticipation index of human capital is the most influential factor on economic diversification. The study results revealed that e-governance is a fundamental pillar for achieving economic diversification in Algeria. Its role goes beyond modernizing public administration and reducing bureaucracy to improving the investment climate and attracting foreign capital, developing the digital services sector, and Enhancing the competitiveness of industrial and agricultural enterprises. It also supports nonhydrocarbon exports and opens opportunities for start-ups based on digital innovation as a new driver of economic growth.
