Abstract

This study aimed to examine the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between personal skills and job performance among university professors. To achieve this goal, a descriptive correlational approach was adopted, where data was collected from 219 university professors at Barika University Center using a comprehensive survey by distributing an electronic questionnaire to all 256 community members who were professors. Structural equation modeling using SmartPLS4 software was used to analyze the data and test the study's hypotheses. The study results showed that personal skills have a strong direct positive impact on both job satisfaction and job performance. Additionally, personal skills had a significant indirect impact on job performance through job satisfaction as a key mediating variable, where a large part of this indirect effect was mediated through job satisfaction.
