Abstract

Natural gas exports occupy an important place in the Algerian economy, as they are considered a basic pillar of the state's income and budget, while Algerian natural gas exports to Europe represent the largest percentage of total gas exports, and therefore Algeria is the third largest. natural gas supplier to Europe. This study aims to shed light on the main determinants of Algerian natural gas exports to Europe, using an application of the ARDL approach during the period 1980-2019. The study found an inverse relationship between domestic consumption and the volume of natural gas exports, while there is a positive impact between the volume of production and European demand on the volume of Algerian exports of natural gas to the Europe
