Abstract

Social transfers in Algeria are an important part of its government Support policy. Accounting for more than 20% of budget expenditures, and about 9% of Gross Domestic Product the rich and the poor. This study aims to analyze and measure the Impact of social transfers on economic growth in Algeria during the period (2000-2020) using the Autoregressive Distributed Time-Lapse (ARDL) approach. The study found that each 1% increase in social transfers results in a 3.55% increase in economic growth, and the positive and moral milestone indicates the role of social transfers in improving Algeria's economic growth and not merely social.
