Abstract

This study aims to shed light on the contribution of universities as educational and research institute in promoting Islamic banking along with its implications and concepts. To meet its objectives, the study followed a descriptive analytical approach through the statistical processing of the gathered data by distributing 64 questionnaires to students of "financial and Islamic banking". The study found out that the "Islamic finance and banking" specialty helps to understand the principles of Islamic banking and to identify the Sharia-standards. It copes with the new economic trends and the requirements of the labor market.
